Trains in Thailand

The State Railway of Thailand operates a very effective train system linking Bangkok to provinces around the country; train service in Thailand is reliable, safe and cheap. The rail system is divided into a southern, a northern, two northeastern and an eastern line. The southern line allows traveling into Malaysia and Singapore while a northeastern line goes to Nong Khai and the other goes to Ubon Ratchathani.
